Established in 2009, we have a fully equipped four bay workshop, three full time technicians and have built an extensive network of genuine and aftermarket parts suppliers. We believe in friendly service with a smile, so for everything from a simple WOF for your Toyota Corolla to a mechanical overhaul of your Mercedes-Benz, come in to Global Auto Works at 900 Karamu Road, Hastings, on the corner of Charlotte Crescent.
MEET THE TEAM
Justin Garvey - Owner Operator Justin started his mechanical apprenticeship way back in the 80's here in Hastings, took his knowledge to London for 10 years and expanded on it to return to NZ to become a business owner in Wellington first and then full circle back to Hastings. He's passionate about how things work and is good at explaining stuff. He's a keen hunter and loves his motorcycles and wife (in that order). Kim Wright - Owner Operator Kim is Justin's other half (some say better). She takes care of all things office and reception and keeping the boys in line. If it's parts you need or a loan car while your repairs are being carried out, Kim is happy to organise it for you. David Brand - Technician Dave has been part of the Global Auto Works family since day one. He's a Holden nut and speedway demon, otherwise known as the "Sheriff" of "Meeanee Vice". He's a gifted fabricator of custom exhausts and loves nothing more than to be grinding and welding and generally making noise. Thomas Robottom - Apprentice Technician Tom joined the team in 2019 and insisted on his CV that he couldn't make coffee. This has since been remedied. He's a keen and methodical worker and brings valuable knowledge that the rest of us technophobes can't get our heads around.
